There are many ways to give
We serve close to 200 families every week during our Thursday and Saturday food distributions. In these four hours, we share nutritious and much needed food with families that are small, large, young, old, immigrant and native. And while the situations that bring our clients to us may vary, the need is universal—there is not enough money to buy the food required to live. A monthly visit to the Pantry boosts their budget and helps limited funds stretch further.
How can you support the Pantry?
- Contribute your time – Volunteer!
- Make a one-time or recurring contribution.
- Donate shelf-stable food, diapers and toiletries.
- Host a food drive at your school, workplace or place of worship. To learn how, contact the pantry.
- Contribute in-kind goods or services.
- Donate every time you shop at Kroger. Link your loyalty card to Heights Interfaith Ministries Food Pantry or organization #NR183. Click here to get started.
- Help stock the shelves by shopping on our Amazon Wish List. It’s quick and easy and items will be delivered directly to the Pantry.

Each family receives approximately 60 pounds of food valued at $45—that’s a weekly total of $7,200, based on our average of 160 families. We are not immune to supply chain struggles and rising costs—we work to keep our shelves stocked so we can keep the carts filled. The Pantry is 100% funded by donations and your monetary or in-kind contribution goes directly to feeding families and our basic operational costs. Your generous gift helps feed Houstonians in need and enables those facing hardship struggle a little less.

Feed Frank
Donations of food, diapers and other items can be dropped 24/7 in our “Feed Frank” donation bin located in our parking area. “Feed Frank” is named in honor of Franklin Caraway, a lifelong member of St. Mark’s Methodist Church. Frank was a devoted supporter of the HIM Food Pantry, and when he could no longer do the shopping himself, Frank asked friends to shop on his behalf and deliver the food to the Pantry. Frank died in 2013, but through his generous endowment and long-term vision, the Pantry is able to provide eggs, fresh produce and toiletries each week to our clients.
