Honored To Be A Partner!

Books Between Kids honored the HIM Food Pantry as its 2022 Partner of the Year. Books Between Kids supplies the Pantry with books for children and youth of all ages and these books are distributed to the families we serve. This has been a wonderful, cooperative effort to nourish growing minds. Thanks for this wonderful recognition!

Neighbors Helping Neighbors

Since 2009, Heights Interfaith Ministries Food Pantry has worked in our community to reduce food insecurity. The Pantry serves families across Houston and distributes pantry staples, fresh produce, eggs, basic toiletries and more on Thursdays from 4 to 6 PM and Saturdays from 10 AM to 12 PM. We are 100% funded by donations, 100% volunteer-run, and guided and supported by several Houston Heights area churches.

Our Mission

As an agency of the Houston Food Bank, we receive pantry staples, fresh produce, milk and other items at below market prices. We also connect with corporate and non-profit partners who donate bread, prepared meals, meat, and specialty items. Together, we work to provide reliable, nutritious food at no cost to our neighbors in need. We help put food on the tables of those living on fixed and low incomes as well as individuals dealing with career or health crises. A monthly trip to the Pantry is a helping hand to those facing financial and other challenges. From the start, we have worked to:

Provide generous, nutritious food to all who seek help
Distribute fresh produce grown in community gardens
Partner with individuals and organizations to better serve our clients

We serve residents of all Houston area ZIP codes. Bring a photo ID and a bill/piece of mail with your Houston area address to receive food.
